13th Annual Kamloops Cowboy Festival, 2009. The BC Cowboy Heritage Society was incorporated on June 5, 1996 with the objective to promote, encourage, establish, conduct and operate events and activities relating to the preservation of cowboy heritage in BC while fostering and developing community interest. This is being accomplished through the BC Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Kamloops Cowboy Festival, the BC Cowboy Heritage Society Student Scholarships, and the Joe Marten Memorial Award for the Preservation of Cowboy Heritage in BC.
